About This Experience

My family has been cutting and trading gemstones in Jaipur's gem district for three generations. Jaipur handles 80% of the world's gemstone cutting and almost no tourists ever see it. I take small groups into our workshop, explain the cutting process, show you how to identify quality in sapphires, rubies and emeralds, and teach you the difference between what a good piece costs and what a tourist price looks like.
