About This Experience
My name is Darnell and I grew up in East Nashville. Hot chicken is the dish this city invented and the version sold on Broadway is not the dish. The real thing is served at Prince's, Bolton's, and a handful of spots that have been doing it the same way for decades. I also take you to a meat-and-three diner — the Southern lunch institution where you pick a meat and three sides from a steam table and eat at a Formica table next to the city's construction workers and nurses.
