About This Experience
Everybody comes to Cappadocia for the balloon ride. I understand that. But the most extraordinary formations in this landscape are not visible from a balloon and are not on any tour operator's map. I was born here. I spent my childhood exploring these valleys and I know where the light falls at sunrise on formations that most geologists haven't catalogued. We hike the Red Valley before dawn, reach a viewpoint my grandfather showed me, and watch the balloons from above while the rest of the visitors are below looking up.
