I know more about lager fermentation than any tourist guide should, and I also know which beer halls in Munich are genuine Bavarian institutions and which ones exist entirely for Oktoberfest visitors. I run walking tours through Schwabing and Maxvorstadt — the Munich that locals live in — combined with beer hall sessions at places where Munich families have been drinking since before your grandfather was born.
