About This Experience
My PhD thesis was on Botticelli's use of natural light in the Primavera. I have spent thousands of hours in the Uffizi and I still find things I haven't noticed before. This is not a highlights tour — everybody does that. I take you through the rooms that don't appear in photography books: the Flemish cabinet, the late medieval altarpieces, the corridor connecting the political and artistic power of the Medici. We spend 10 minutes on a single painting sometimes because that's what it deserves. Tickets not included — book the 7:45am first-entry slot.
