Ghanaian-American, born in Accra, raised in Leimert Park. I'm a musician and community organiser who has spent 20 years in South LA's Black neighbourhood food culture — the soul food joints, the Ethiopian places on Fairfax, the Jamaican spots in Inglewood that nobody from outside the neighbourhood ever finds. Leimert Park is the cultural heart of Black Los Angeles and it has some of the most interesting food in the city. I run walks that are as much about history and community as they are about eating.
