Rosa Jiménez

I grew up in the Mission District — the Latino heart of San Francisco — and I have been eating burritos, tacos, and Salvadoran pupusas my whole life. The Mission has some of the best Mexican and Central American food in the United States and it is ten minutes from the tourist trail. I also know the dim sum halls in the Richmond, the Vietnamese pho on Irving Street in the Sunset, and the Californian bakeries that make sourdough the way it was meant to be made. San Francisco's food culture is extraordinary and almost none of it is near Fisherman's Wharf.
