Berliner for life — grew up in Prenzlauer Berg before it became expensive, now in Neukölln. I work as a food writer and run a supper club in my apartment twice a month. Berlin is the most interesting food city in Europe right now and it has almost nothing to do with German food — it's about what happens when you put Turks, Vietnamese, Syrians, Poles, and Germans in the same neighbourhood for 30 years and they all start feeding each other. I run evening walks through Neukölln and Kreuzberg that show you this version of Berlin.
